Slot Die Coating Machine with 12m Oven
This coating machine is designed for high-precision coating of lithium-ion battery cathode and anode electrodes. It consists of an unwinding unit, coating head unit, drying oven unit, traction unit, rewinding unit, and electrical control unit. The system ensures high-accuracy and high-consistency electrode coating.
It is suitable for the coating process of slurry systems such as oil-based or water-based lithium iron phosphate, oil-based lithium cobalt oxide, ternary, lithium manganese oxide, nickel-cobalt-manganese oxide, oil-based or water-based negative electrode carbon graphite, lithium titanate, and other slurries.
Key Features
· Constant tension control: The machine adjusts running speed based on the dancer roller position, ensuring stable tension regulation.
· Segmented tension control: A closed-loop tension system formed by the dancer roller, potentiometer, and motor between two active rollers.
Extrusion/Slot Die Coating
1. The screw pump continuously delivers slurry to the intermittent valve, which controls slurry flow to the die head.
2. The die head lip extrudes slurry onto the electrode substrate, by high-temperature drying in the oven.
3. The intermittent valve timing determines coating length. During non-coating phases, slurry recirculates to the storage tank.
Micro-Gravure Coating
1. A sealed coating chamber is formed by the tray, doctor blade, micro-gravure roller, and barrier plate.
2. The peristaltic pump delivers slurry to the chamber, and the micro-gravure roller transfers the coating onto the substrate for continuous coating.
3. Coating width and thickness are controlled by the roller’s line count and engraving depth.
· Substrate drying: The coated substrate enters the drying oven.
· Hot air drying: The oven uses electric heating, with a fan and hot air circulation to evaporate water or solvents.
· Variable air volume control: The fan speed is frequency-controlled to adjust air volume based on slurry type.
· Exhaust system: Extracted vapors are either recycled or discharged via the exhaust system.
